Intercultural Programs
Interculturally competent individuals not only empathize and work well with others from various backgrounds, but they also recognize different values, beliefs, attitudes and behaviors to anticipate and act appropriately to produce the most effective results. They also modify behavior based on context and participants.
To help more students develop intercultural skills without traveling abroad, the Institute for International Business Collaboration facilitates:
- Course Collaborations where students work virtually with peers at foreign partner schools on course assignments.
- Extracurricular Activities where students travel abroad to participate in international marketing or sales competitions.
The Institue for International Business Collaboration is committed to the development of intercultural competencies at the Unversity of Wisconsin – Whitewater as well as at foreign partner universities.
